![]() There is also a light spot on the spine under "Eden" but you don't even see it in most light. ![]() I listed one very similar to this last week, but the following description will be different.The boards are very nice on this one overall, but you will notice what looks like a small pen mark on the left side of the cover, some bumping at the top and bottom of the spine, a slightly crinkled upper righthand corner, and a light line down the left side of the spine where the pages have pressed. This is a first edition/ first printing of John Steinbeck's East of Eden from 1952 with "First published by the Viking Press in September 1952." It also has "bite" instead of "bight" on page 281, line 38 (but that typo also appears in other early editions, so be careful with that if you're looking at other copies.)If that text looks familiar, you're not crazy. ![]()
