Harassed by his nemesis, ACC Cassian Pewe, Grace takes up the case aided by his trusted partner, Glenn Branson. Roy Grace is called in to investigate and discovers so many confounding discrepancies as the case unfolds that he is unsure exactly where the truth lies. He protests his innocence vehemently, but to no avail. He calls the police to report her missing, only to be arrested on suspicion of murder a few days later. She isn’t at home either and, after phoning friends and family, who haven’t seen or heard from her, he realises she has disappeared! Niall stays in the car, and waits………….and waits! Frustrated, he goes into the store to find her, but without success. On this particular Sunday Niall wants to rush home for the start of the Belgian Grand Prix, but Eden insists they stop at the supermarket for cat litter. Unfortunately though, they mostly end the day by arguing on the journey home! While Eden admires them inside and out, Niall dreams that one day he’ll be rich enough to own one. Niall and Eden Paternoster’s Sundays are often taken up with drives to heritage country houses in their district. Left You Dead by Peter James – Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is not only investigating the case of a missing woman in Brighton, he is also facing a personal challenge, in this, the seventeenth novel in James’s bestselling series.
